Born in Mexico as Gazzy Garcia on August 17 in 2000, Lil Pump's parents hailed from Colombia. But they divorced when Lil Pump was just 6 years of age. At age 13, he was introduced to Omar Pineiro by his cousin who called himself Lil Ominous. Omar Pineiro goes by Smokepurpp in the rap circuit and soon both of them became collaborators.

The South-Florida underground-rap scene accepted him as a 'SoundCloud rapper.' He took his success and in 2016 only, he performed in the 'No Jumper' tour at the famous Rolling-Loud Festival.

It was in 2017 that Lil Pump actually earned his wealth. After all, it was on June 9 of that year when Lil Pump signed on for a record deal with Warner Records and The Lights Global. At the time of signing his contract, he was only a couple of months away from turning only 17 years. The deal gave him an $8-million advance. In July he announced that he was working on his album and would release it in August. But he instead pushed it back and released his most famous song 'Gucci Gang.' It was this song which got him entry into the Billboard Hot-100.

The pump was arrested in February 2018 for firing a weapon in a closed place.
