Early Life

Malcolm James McCormick was born on January 19, 1992 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He went to Winchester Thurston School then Taylor Allderdice High School. During his high school days, his passion for hip-hop rose. He did not go proper training but he knows how to play drums, guitar, piano, and bass.

At the age of 14, he began rapping and released his first mixtape But My Mackin’ Ain’t Easy. He’s a member of the rap group The III Spoken and released the mixtape entitled How High in 2008. It was followed by two solo mixtapes The Jukebox: The Prelude to Class Clown and The High Life.

Passing

Miller’s personal assistant found him unresponsive in his Studio City home on September 7, 2018. His assistant performed CPR while waiting for paramedics; however, he was pronounced dead. Based on his autopsy released on November 5, 2018, Miller died due to accidental drug overdose of mixed fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol. Investigators found that Miller snorted oxycodone pills containing fentanyl. Three people were arrested in connection with supplying the pills in September 2019. Despite his passing, his music and talent are still celebrated.

Miller and Ariana Grande first interacted via Twitter in 2012 when he responded to her Thanksgiving tweet. This interaction paved their team up to cover Baby It’s Cold Outside. In 2013, Grande requested Miller for their second duet on The Way. This sparked the rumors that they are dating based on the music video, where they kissed. However, both parties denied that they are dating. The two were reunited for the remix of her Into You. The couple went public in 2016 at the MTV Video Music Awards. Miller never left her side after the Manchester bombings. Unfortunately, the pair broke up in 2018 as their relationship ran into difficulties.
