Miranda Lambert Early Life

Miranda Leigh Lambert was born on November 10, 1983 in Longview, Texas. Her parents, Rick and Bev, are private detectives and had worked together on the impeachment case of US President Bill Clinton.

Lambert made her singing debut while in high school by being part of The Texas Pride Band. She is also part of the house band at the Reo Palm Isle. At the age of 16, she appeared on the Johnnie High Country Music Revue in Arlington, Texas to start her singing career. It is also the talent show that helped singer LeAnn Rimes with her singing career. She immediately received a recording session with Nashville, Tennessee. However, she left the studio because pop music is not her thing.

In 2000, Lambert went back to Texas and asked her father to teach him how to play the guitar. After learning the instrument, she began writing songs. She released her self-titled debut album independently in 2001.

While in Texas, Lambert performed in Love and War country music restaurant and venue and other places.
