Samuels began his career in the early 2000s by being a member of a group of rappers called The Hood Stars. Other members include Seven Up, Lou$tar, and Nicki Minaj. The group recorded the entrance song of WWE Diva Victoria entitled Don’t Mess With. It was included in the group’s compilation album Theme Addict: WWE The Music Vol. 6. Samuels became Minaj’s hype man after the group was disbanded.
Samuels co-wrote the song Did It On ‘em, which is part of Minaj’s debut album Pink Friday released in 2010. He was also part of her music video for Stupid Hole. in 2012, he was credited for writing six songs in the album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
In 2015, Samuels began as a solo artist and released four mixtapes including It Is What It Is, Real Yard Vibes, and Fur Coat Vol. 1. Aside from being a rapper and songwriter, he is also a known TV personality. He made his first TV appearance in the second of K. Michelle: My Life, a reality TV show that follows the everyday life of R&B /soul singer K. Michelle. It was followed by being a cast member for the third season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood in 2016. The show documented the lives of the people in Hollywood who are involved with West Coast hip hop. In 2017, he became part of Love & Hip Hop: New York. The show featured notable figures connected to East Coast hip hop. In the same year, Samuels competed in the pilot season of Scared Famous. It is a horror reality TV series that challenged 10 cast members from different VH1 shows to live in a haunted house. The winner will receive $100K, which will be donated to their chosen charity. Samuels ended in 3rd/4th place along with Erica Mena, who then became his wife.

Samuels married TV personality Erica Mena on October 7, 2019 at the Legacy Castle, New Jersey. The pair developed their love story at the haunted house set of Sacred Famous in 2017. He proposed on Christmas Eve of 2018 and finally tied the knot the following year. The couple welcomed their daughter on February 2, 2020.
