Jacques Berman Webster II, professionally known as Travis Scott was born on April 30, 1991 in Houston, Texas. His stage name was derived from his late uncle's named "Travis" and "Scott" from the first name of his fellow artist Kid Cudi. He grew up along with his grandmother in South Park, Houston, a neighborhood famous for crimes and hungry people. As a young kid, the situation made him realized to work harder and get out of that neighborhood.

As years passed, he moved to Missouri City and live with his parents. He graduated at Elkins High School at the age of seventeen and attended University of Texas San Antonio but dropped out during his second year to pursue his music career. After dropping out, he moved to New York City for the possibility of starting his music career.

During Travis Scott's early career, he formed different groups like The Graduates with his long-time friend Chris Holloway and The Classmates with OG Chess but it never succeeded that led to the disbandment of the group. He to Los Angeles, California where he met the American rapper, T.I and was later hired by Kanye West's record label Good Music. His debut solo mix-tape Owl Pharaoh which was set to released in 2012 wasn't released until May 2013 due to some sample clearance issues.

On 2014, Scott announced his second mix-tape titled Days Before Rodeo and has been a success since released. He then announced a concert tour which started in March 1, 2015 and ended on April 1, 2015 with guest appearances of Kanye West, Chris Brown and Wale. In 2015, Scott released his debut studio album called Rodeo and his second album called Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight in which it became the first number one album on the US Billboard 200.

In August 3, 2018, his third album Astroworld was released and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Astroworld's single "Sicko Mode", peaked at number one on Billboard Hot 100, becoming Scott's highest charting solo single. On April 18, 2019, Scott released a soundtrack for the popular HBO series Game of Thrones accompanied by The Weekend and SZA. On the same year, Netflix also released his documentary film titled Look Mom I Can Fly.

Scott dated the reality television star Kylie Jenner since April 2017. They have a daughter named Stormi Webster, which was born on February 1, 2018.

As an artist, Scott's musical style was mostly called "blend between traditional hip-hop and lo-fi and often as ambient", but Scott himself denied that he is not a hip-hop. Scott was also a fan of Broadway Theater and would like to to write his own musical.
