Scott Parker's squad finished second in the Championship last season which secured their promotion back into the Premier League. The clubs ownership have kept a tight handle on finances over the summer with just one major signing. Marcus Tavernier joined the club for £10m from Middlesborough. The clubs wage bill is one of the lowest in the league at an average of £22,000 per week.

Jefferson Lerma is the clubs highest salary, taking home £50,000 per week. The Colombian midfielder joined from Levante in 2018 and has been a key player for the club.

Dominic Solanke is the joint highest earner at the club, also on £50,000 per week. The Englishman joined from Liverpool in 2019 and has struggled to make an impact at the club.

Steve Cook, a loyal servant of the club left over the summer for Nottingham Forest after 10 years of service. David Brooks was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2021 but announced that he was cancer free in May 2022.
