Brendan Rogers took over as manager of Leicester City in February 2019. He replaced Claude Puel after a string of bad form. The club had just been knocked out of the FA Cup by League Two club Newport County. However, Rogers quickly turned things around, guiding the team to a comfortable mid-table finish.
The Foxes finished in 8th place last season and will be hoping to improve on that this year. The club has seen some significant departures including Wesley Fofana to Chelsea and keeper Kasper Schmeichel. However, Dennis Praet has returned from loan at Torino and Wout Faes has joined at centre back. Fans will be hoping the pair will have a significant impact on the team.
Leicester City was founded in 1884 as Leicester Fosse F.C., playing its first competitive match in September 1885. It took until the 2016 season to win their first top flight title and it was historic for the club. The Foxes home games are played at King Power Stadium.
